Hullo Lisa. The merely Cricut that tin cut fonts from your calculator is the Explore which uses dissimilar software called Design Space. Cricut Arts and crafts Room tin but use fonts from Cricut Cartridges. Several years agone it was possible to employ 3rd party programs called "Sure Cuts a Lot" and "Make the Cut" to utilize fonts from your calculator, but following a lawsuit by Provocraft those programs at present no longer work with whatsoever Cricut.

Hi Narelle! Just wondering if you have had whatsoever experience with Windows 8.one and if it is compatible with the CCR. My program forced me to update to 8.one final week. Practise you know if at that place is whatever fashion to revert back to 8.0?? Thanks for your time!!

Hi Narelle, I just found you and am in awe! Cheers. I accept a question. I downloaded the box card in ccr, everything cutting and scored wonderfully with one piffling issue, the flap to put the box together on the bottom cutting off when it cut the box out. Is there a newer file I should have downloaded? Thank you.

Hello Narelle, tin you point me in the right management where I might exist able to download Build 179 of Cricut Craft Room please? I was reading on your blogspot, where you had thirteen files to download for Build 132 and a comment was made by another viewer stating that Provocraft finally got smart and listed downloads for previous builds of CCR but I am unable to observe it i my searches. I am wanting Build 179 since y'all stated information technology seemed to to piece of work meliorate for the older Imagine machine. Is this Build 179 for CCR still available? Thank you lot kindly if y'all are able to indicate me in the right direction. As information technology stands, I have the most current build I believe, which is build 187 ... Cindy

Hi Cindy. I'm pretty sure that build 187 is a forced update. So, while I can give you a link to 179, yous'll virtually likely nonetheless exist forced to go to 187 when you try to use CCR.

Just found your blog and enjoyed each one that a I read. I recently inherited a Cricut Imagine. Is there someplace you can straight me to larn how to use pattern space, etc. I would but like to know what features are available to use with this machine. It'south merely been used a couple of times and hate not to put it to work for me. Thanks so very Much!! Kim

Hello Kim,

The Cricut Imagine doesn't work with Pattern Infinite. Design Space just works with the Explore range of Cricut machines.

Yous tin can use the Imagine as a standalone using the Cricut cartridges or you can apply an online program called Cricut Craft Room. With that program yous tin create your designs using the artwork from Cricut Cartridges. I have another web log that deals with Cricut Arts and crafts Room that should help you acquire how to use it. But keep in mind that I haven't posted to that blog for a long time (pretty much since the Explore was released 2 years ago) and some of the info might be outdated. Cricut Craft Room blog

There is likewise a Facebook grouping called Cricut Craft Room Facebook grouping

You should be able to find lots of info and help at that place.

Good luck with your machine. ☺

This might sound really silly:

I'chiliad trying out using a Cricut Expression ii that a friend permit me borrow. There was a specific craft that I was looking to do, and I have downloaded on my computer the project in two means: every bit SVG files and every bit a PDF. I've tried importing them both to CCR and to Pattern Studio, and they don't appear.

Is in that location whatever way to become them to where I can employ them? Practice I need to convert them to a unlike format? Whatsoever help would be VERY APPRECIATED!!

Thanks,

Leah

Elizabeth, sooty to say that there is no manner to use not-Cricut images (svg'south, jpg'south etc) with the Expression 2. Information technology is strictly a Cricut cartridge based auto. You lot can utilize it with CCR (merely not Design Studio or Design Space) but y'all are notwithstanding limited to using Cricut images. You also can't utilize it with 3rd party programs such equally Certain Cuts a Lot or Brand the Cut.

Typo... *sorry... not sooty!

Hi, I take an expressions2 and from what I am reading, that limits me a lot. I use craft room. My Mom sent me a picture of a sign she wants me to make her that says "Be yet and know that I am God." I bought an sometime piece of wood, none of the fonts that I own are similar the ane in the motion picture. So by reading your previous questions I recollect I understand that I cannot get someone like yous to design this for me and import it and utilize it in craft room and expressions ii, correct? I accept to buy more fonts (I have and so many) and design it myself, no aid from outside similar completed files?

Narelle said...

How-do-you-do Dana,

The Expression two does limit your font choices because it can merely utilize Cricut fonts. There are a lot more Cricut fonts now only many of them are only available when using the Cricut Pattern Infinite program that'southward used to run the Cricut Explore machine.

The Expression 2 can utilize the Cricut Craft Room (CCR) design program. But once again, it's still limited to Cricut images and fonts. Someone could create your design for you and share that file with you then you could open information technology in CCR and cut it but you lot would need to own the aforementioned fonts that they used.

I don't actually design for anyone else and then wouldn't be able to help you lot in that regard.

If you haven't tried the CCR hither's the link.
